De uitdaging.

Sun Eclipse had a brilliant product: solar shading that you can easily attach with suction cups, keeping out up to 95% of the heat. The problem? Nobody really knew about it yet. They needed an online campaign that would communicate their unique product benefits clearly and playfully, attract new customers, and simultaneously increase brand awareness. The brand needed to grab attention without being boring, the story had to be immediately clear, and the target audience had to identify with the message. This wasn't a regular ad we could just place; this had to be a campaign that made an impact and stuck around.

Additionally, the campaign needed to work across various channels, from social media to banners and video, and the concept had to make the heat literally palpable without being exaggerated. The idea had to combine humor with product information while keeping the viewer engaged. Sun Eclipse didn't just want clicks and impressions; they wanted curiosity and involvement. The challenge was to bring all creative, strategic, and visual elements together into a campaign that truly delivered results.

De oplossing.

The concept arose from a simple, yet powerful insight: heat needs to be visible. Together with Medianauts, we came up with the idea “So hot you can almost see it”. This allowed us to amplify the heat while simultaneously showcasing the benefits of the solar shading. In short videos and banners, actor Bert Hana demonstrated the heat with humor and exaggeration, supported by dripping sweat, dried-out plants, and a homemade sauna. The visuals were striking, relatable, and directly connected to the core of the product.

Photography by Elsemiek Hoevens was used for the online banners, ensuring each image was consistent and visually strong. After the shoot, we finalized the assets with Dtch. Digitals and launched the campaign. The result is a creative, striking, and conversion-focused online campaign that communicates the benefits of Sun Eclipse solar shading in a memorable way. Humor, relatability, and impact come together to attract new customers, while the brand remains unforgettable.
